Oct. 16, 2009 10:40 A.M. (Updated: Oct. 16, 2009 8:22 P.M.)
Gaza - Ma’an - Gazan fishing boats came under fire Friday morning as Israeli warships patrolling the waters launched an attack, locals reported the same day.

The incursion reportedly occurred along the As-Sudaniyah and Al-Wusta areas of the Gaza coast, where witnesses reported sporadic attacks on boats in the area since sunrise.

While no injuries were immediately reported, shells were heard exploding along the coast and streets emptied as residents took shelter in their homes.
