Bethlehem – Ma’an – Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt Nabil Amr held a farewell ceremony in his office after deciding to resign on Monday.

Ma’an learned that Amr would leave Cairo for Ramallah, and that he asked President Mahmoud Abbas to accept his resignation both as ambassador to Egypt and as chairman of a new Palestinian satellite TV station Al-Filistiniyya.

This station was established last year, and is affiliated with the Fatah movement.
