Hamas: PA security forces seized 27 West Bank affiliates

Nablus - Ma'an - The Hamas movement on Thursday claimed that Palestinian Authority security forces had arrested 27 of its affiliates in the West Bank.

Hamas said in a statement to Ma'an that affiliates were seized in and around the following West Bank cities:

In Nablus, PA security forces seized ex-prisoner A'lam Tabanja for the second time, in addition to I'sam Fahmi, head of a religious school (Dar Al-Quran) in Qabalan after he was summoned for questioning, Basaam A'marneh, a student at An-Najah University, who was arrested in front the university. PA forces also issued an order to shut down At-Tadamun sports club in Nablus, the statement said.

In Qalqiliia, PA security forces arrested Sheikh Mahmoud Ar-Rabe and Sheikh Riyad Al-Walweel, one of the Hamas leaders there, who was taken from his home, Wael Al-Hotari, who was released from an Israeli jail one week earlier, and Sharif Hanani, who was seized after being summoned for questioning.

In Jenin, Basel Ghannam, from Jaba, who works as a teacher, Maher A'bed, from Kefer Dan, and Fadel Bushnaq, who was arrested by PA forces for the fifth time.

In Ramallah, Samer Bader was arrested at his workplace in the a local Kharbatha Al-Mesbah school, and who was previously deported to Gaza, in addition to Hani Sa'eed A'si, a prominent Hamas leader from Beit Leqya.

In Tulkarem, PA security forces arrested Mohammad A'ref from Nur Shams refugee camp for the fourth time, Nedal Abu Tharifa, also from Nur Shams, ex-prisoner Hasan Sruji, arrested one day after being released from an Israeli jail, in addition to Nedal Abu Helal, who was arrested from his home one day after being released from another Israeli prison.

In Hebron, PA security forces arrested A'la Al-Hur from the nearby town of Surif, Musa Al-Hurub from Dir Samet , Ismail Al-Khalawi from Ithna, A'sem Seder, ex-prisoner and student at the Polytechnic University in Hebron, Nedal Al-Qawasma, Muhand Al-Hur from Surif, and Ma'mun Ahmad A'bed, who was detained after being summoned.

In Jericho, PA security forces arrested Mohammad Ahmad Imter for the second time.

In Bethlehem, PA security forces arrested Musa Mahmoud Abu Al-Howar and Ibrahim Al-'Ubeyat, the son of Ibrahim U'beiyat, a deportee to Italy from the Nativity Church in 2002.
