PFLP claims responsibility for two projectiles launched at Sderot

Nov. 15, 2008 12:44 P.M. (Updated: Nov. 15, 2008 12:44 P.M.)
Gaza - Ma'an - The militant wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) claimed responsibility on Saturday for launching two homemade projectiles toward the Israeli town of Sderot, according to a statement.

"The operation comes in retaliation for ongoing Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people, and to affirm that resistance will continue to defend the Palestinian people," the statement said.

The statement asserted that "resistance and national unity" is the shortest path to freedom and a Palestinian independent state, with Jerusalem as its capital.
