Nov. 7, 2008 4:00 P.M. (Updated: Nov. 7, 2008 4:00 P.M.)
Bethlehem - Ma'an - A Danish woman was shot with a tear-gas canister during the weekly anti-wall protest in the village of Ni'lin on Friday, and dozens of others suffered tear gas inhalation.

The march proceeded as usual with protesters heading towards the site of the construction of the separation wall, and was accosted by Israeli soldiers who tried to prevent the protesters from accessing the confiscated village lands.

As the protesters neared the construction site Israeli forces opened fire from close range, with tear-gas canisters shot directly at protesters, as well as firing rubber-coated steel bullets.

According to the International Solidarity Movement the Danish woman was shot in the upper-arm with a burning hot canister. She was taken to the Sheikh Zaide hospital in Ramallah for treatment.
