Sept. 12, 2008 2:34 P.M. (Updated: Sept. 12, 2008 2:34 P.M.)
Jenin - Ma'an - Israeli forces detained a resident of the Tamoun village south of Tubas on Friday, security sources say.

Meanwhile, soldiers took over the Al-Yamun region west of Jenin and erected military barriers throughout the area.

Security sources did not release the name of the resident detained during the raids.

There were no reports of injuries, though witnesses say they heard gunfire in the area.

Israeli forces also erected barriers at the southern entrance of Tubas, which links the town to the nearby village of Tamoun.
