Fatah's military wing claims responsibility for roadside bomb attack near settlement

Sept. 7, 2008 9:33 A.M. (Updated: Sept. 7, 2008 9:33 A.M.)
Bethlehem - Ma'an - The military wing of Fatah, the Al-Aqsa Brigades, claimed responsibility for a roadside bomb explosion near the Israeli settlement Etamar security complex east of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

The military group said in a statement on Sunday that several Israeli forces were seen combing the area after the incident, but that none of the men responsible for the attack were apprehended.

The group said the explosion came as part of retaliation for ongoing Israeli assaults against the Palestinian people.

Israeli sources have not confirmed the explosion.
