Gaza - Ma'an - The De facto Palestinian Interior Ministry in Gaza on Monday decided to reopen 70 charities it closed recently.

"Investigations proved that 26 charities were operating illegally," the ministry said in a statement. The other 70 were found to be operating "legally."

The ministry called on all charities and NGOs to check their legal status with the General Administration of NGOs.

The Interior Ministry plans to return confiscated property to the organizations.
