Bethlehem - Ma'an - The Bir Nabala checkpoint, which separated Ramallah from its southern suburbs was removed on Thursday.

Israeli radio reported that the station was abandoned in order to allow Palestinians to move more freely in the Ramallah area of the West Bank.

This is the third barrier that has been removed in the past month under the instruction of Israeli Army Minister Ehud Barak and his Chief of Staff General Gabi Ashkenazi.
