Jenin - Ma'an - Five Palestinians were detained including a Hamas leader as Israeli forces invade Al-Far'a refugee camp in Tubas south of Jenin.

Palestinian security sources said that Israeli patrols stormed the camp, raided a number of homes there and detained Yousef Sarhan a leader in Hamas movement as well as his nephew Anas Sarhan and Yahya Thaher, Suhaib Ja'aysa and Mohammad Jamal Salah. All five were taken and transferred to an unknown location.

Civilians told Ma'an's correspondent in Jenin that Israeli special forces driving a civil car stormed the refugee camp before midnight and surrounded house of Yousef Sarhan. The first vehicle was followed by several others. Israeli soldiers called to residents through loudspeakers telling them to evacuate the home. An Israeli bulldozer arrived shortly after.

Civilians added that young Palestinians threw stones, empty bottles and small handmade explosives at the patrols, igniting skirmishes between youth and Israeli soldiers.

Civilians added that Israeli soldiers surrounded the house for two and a half hours and only left after arresting Yousef Sarhan and his nephew Anas along with a number of neighbors whose homes also were stormed.
