Nablus - Ma'an - The armed wing of Fatah, the Al-Aqsa Brigades, claimed on Monday evening that their fighters shot and injured an Israeli soldier near the Huwwara intersections south of the West Bank city of Nablus.

The Al-Aqsa Brigades' northern West Bank spokesperson, Abu Mujahid, told Ma'an that a group of fighters opened fire at an Israeli settler's and then fired at a military patrol to aid the settlers. However, Israeli sources did mention any injured soldiers in that area.

Israeli forces later stormed the village of Beita, also near Nablus, imposing a curfew.
