Islamic Jihad increases projectile attacks in response to massacre in Beit Hanoun

April 29, 2008 9:30 A.M. (Updated: April 29, 2008 9:30 A.M.)
Gaza - Ma'an - The military wing of Islamic Jihad, the Al-Quds Brigades, claimed responsibility on Tuesday morning for launching two homemade projectiles at the Israeli town of Kfar Azza, near the Gaza Strip.

The group also said that their fighters fired 21 homemade projectiles at Israeli town of Sderot on Monday night.

The Al-Quds Brigades said the intensification of projectile attack was retaliation for what they called Israel's "crimes" against Palestinians, culminating in the killing of eight Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Monday, including a woman and her four children.
