Israeli forces seize Palestinian presidential guard at checkpoint

Jenin - Ma'an - Israeli forces seized an officer in the Palestinian Presidential Guards at the Atara checkpoint near the West Bank city of Ramallah on Sunday.

Witnesses said Israeli troops stopped a car at the checkpoint, and detained Mousa As'us, who is from the village of Muthallath Ash-Shuhada, south of the city of Jenin

As'us was on his way home after taking part in a training course for the security forces in Ramallah.

The Presidential Guards are affiliated to President Mahmoud Abbas.
