March 26, 2008 4:47 P.M. (Updated: March 26, 2008 4:47 P.M.)
Gaza - Ma'an - The military wing of Islamic Jihad, the Al-Quds Brigades, claimed responsibility on Wednesday for firing three homemade projectiles towards the Israeli town of Sderot, which borders the Gaza Strip.

Earlier on Wednesday they fired six projectiles at Sderot.

The Al-Quds Brigades said in a statement that the shelling was an act of retaliation for the Israeli policy of pursuing and arresting Palestinian activists in the West Bank.
