38 Palestinians killed since the beginning of February, says Nafha society

Feb. 17, 2008 1:52 P.M. (Updated: Feb. 17, 2008 1:52 P.M.)
Nablus - Ma'an - The Nafha Society for the defence of Palestinian prisoners' and human rights announced on Sunday that the Israeli military forces have killed 38 Palestinians including 6 children and one woman since the beginning of February.

The society's information department explained that 28 of the victims have been killed in targeted assassinations. Twenty nine of the victims were from the Gaza Strip and 9 from the West Bank. The society attributed the rise in the death toll in the Gaza Strip to escalating Israeli attacks on resistance fighters.

According to Nafha, 87 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip and 9 in the West Bank last January including 11 women and 11 children.
