GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Hundreds of Palestinians marched in the funeral procession of a Palestinian youth, on Monday, who succumbed earlier to wounds he had sustained during Gaza’s weekly protests two weeks ago.

Mourners carried the body of Bassam Sami Safi, 22, from the southern besieged Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis, from the Nasser Hospital to his family home where final goodbyes were said before prayers and burials at the city’s cemetery.

Mourners called for an end to the killing of Palestinians at the eastern borders of the Gaza Strip.

Safi was hit in the head with a tear-gas bomb, on February 22nd during "The Great March of Return" protests in eastern Khan Younis, which resulted in critical wounds.
