Injuries reported as clashes erupt in West Bank village

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Clashes broke out among Palestinian youths and Israeli forces at the entrance of Turmusayya village in the central occupied West Bank district of Ramallah, on Sunday.

According to local sources, Israeli forces set u a flying checkpoint at the entrance of the Turmusayya village and opened fire at Palestinians awaiting the body of killed Palestinian father, Hamdi Saadeh Naasan, for funeral processions.

On Saturday, Hamdi Saadeh Naasan, 38, a father of four children and a former prisoner, was shot in the back with a live bullet by Israeli settlers, who attempted to raid al-Mughayyir village, and later succumbed to his wounds.

Sources added that Israeli forces fired rubber-coated steel bullets, tear-gas bombs, and stun grenades towards the Palestinian crowd.

Medical sources confirmed that one Palestinian youth was shot in his foot with a rubber-coated bullet fired by Israeli forces, while dozens of others suffered from tear-gas inhalation.
