Minors among 13 Palestinians detained by Israeli forces

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 13 Palestinians, including minors, on predawn Wednesday, across the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS), Israeli forces detained three Palestinians in the southern West Bank district of Hebron. They were identified as Saif Abu Absha, Hassan Mahmoud Abu Zanid, and Khalil Muhammad Ahmad al-Sarawi.

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, another three were detained. They were identified as Jumaa Khaled Muhammad Abu Mufrah. Fadi Adnan al-Badan, 16, Mahmoud Rateb al-Amour, 15.

In the Issawiya neighborhood, in the central West bank district of Jerusalem, three Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces. PPS identified them as Abed al-Qader Dari, Muhammad Sharif Muhsen, and Muhammad Mahmoud Atiyeh.

In the Qalandiya refugee camp, in the central West Bank district of Ramallah, one Palestinian was detained and identified as Balal Mutir.

In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, two Palestinians were detained. PPS identified them as Hisham Abu Salah and Muataz Hussein.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, another Palestinian was detained and identified as Izz al-Din Usama Abu Hamdi.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,500 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, of whom 230 are child prisoners and 41 are under the age of 16 years.
