Israeli forces detain Palestinian passing by Hizma

Dec. 13, 2018 2:33 P.M. (Updated: Dec. 13, 2018 3:54 P.M.)
RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained a Palestinian passing by near the Hizma town in eastern Jerusalem, in the central occupied West Bank, on Thursday afternoon.

Initial reports by Israel said that a "security" incident occurred near Hizma.

Witnesses told Ma'an that the Palestinian was only crossing by the road; however, Israeli soldiers detained him due to their suspicions and raised tensions following two attacks that were carried out earlier Thursday.

The detained Palestinian was reportedly assaulted and forced to undress despite the cold weather.
