RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least six Palestinians during predawn raids, on Thursday, from the northern occupied West Bank.

According to Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS), Israeli forces detained three Palestinians from the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem; they were identified as Iyad Mutie Zabadi, 28, Daher Fahmi Sous, 30, and Sundos Walid Naawla, 26, who is the sister of Ashraf Naawla, who carried out a shooting attack earlier this week.

In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, Israeli forces also detained Ashraf's second sister, Fayrouz Naawla, from her family home.

It is noteworthy that all of Ashraf’s family had been detained after the shooting attack, among them were both Sundos and Fayrouz, however, they were later released.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, two Palestinians were detained after being summoned for interrogation. PPS identified them as Thaer Ahmad Heradat and Salah al-Din Zakarneh.

PPS added that during the raids, Israeli forces confiscated various items, damaged personal belongings, and assaulted residents.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are currently 5,640 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, 53 of whom are female prisoners.
