Israeli forces detain 18 Palestinians, including minor

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 18 Palestinians, including a minor and former prisoners, during raids on predawn Sunday across the occupied West Bank.

Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) confirmed that Israeli forces detained six aplestinians in the southern West bank district of Hebron. They were identified as Oweis Hashem al-Rajoub, Salama Muhammad al-Arjan, Basel Muhammad al-Fasfous, Rezeq Fathi Jaafra along with his brothers, Abdullah and Ramzi.

In the central West Bank district of Jerusalem, one Palestinian was detained, however, was not yet identified.

In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, three Palestinians were detained. They were identified as Qatiba al-Biyari, Abdullah al-Aziz Qathi, and Ahmad Abu al-Sabri, 16.

In the northern West Bank district of Qalqiliya, Israeli forces detained another three Palestinians. They were identified as Qasam al-Riyashi, 19, Hamza Radwan, 22, and Raed Radwan, 23.

PPS also confirmed that three Palestinians were detained in the northern West Bank district of Nablus. They were identified as Ashraf Mahmoud Saour, 19, Suleiman Mahmoud Kaabi, 18, and Ibrahim Khamis Naqib, 17.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, two Palestinian former prisoners were detained and identified as Tareq Ibrahim Abu Shaduf and Ahmad Sami Ghneim.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,781 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, 270 of whom are child prisoners and 50 of them are under the age of 16.
