BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 11 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank in the predawn hours of Monday.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said that among the 11 detainees was a journalist, identified as Bilal Tawil from the southern West Bank district of Hebron.

Six other Palestinians were detained from Hebron, according to PPS, though their identities remained unknown.

PPS added that Israeli forces detained two Palestinians from the southern West Bank Bethlehem district, one from the central West Bank Salfit district, and another from the northern West Bank town of Arraba, in the Jenin district.

The Israeli army claimed in a statement that six of the detainees “produced and shared inciting films and songs on social media.”

Israeli military raids into Palestinian cities, towns, and refugee camps are a near daily occurrence.

According to UN documentation, between May 8th-21st, Israeli forces conducted 177 search and arrest operations and arrested 220 Palestinians.
