Israeli forces detain 3 former Palestinian prisoners from Qalqiliya-area town

QALQILIYA (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained three Palestinians who were former prisoners from their homes in the northern occupied West Bank district of Qalqiliya on Friday before dawn.

Locals told Ma’an that Israeli forces raided the town of Azzun, and detained three former prisoners.

They were identified as Othman Shello, 29, Samir Shbeita, 22, and Abdullah Radwan, 21.

Israeli detention raids in the occupied Palestinian territory are a nightly occurrence.

According to UN numbers, between April 24 and May 7th, Israeli forces conducted 127 raids in the West Bank.

Palestinian prisoners rights group Addameer reported that as of April, there were 6,036 Palestinians being held in Israeli prisons.
