RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- An Israeli court ruled on Tuesday to an early release for two Palestinian prisoners.

The Palestinian Committee of Prisoners’ Affairs said in a statement that the two prisoners, Ahmad Ammar Salameh and Ahmad Adel Hazahzeh, were granted an early release by the court.

The two are both currently being held in Israel’s Megiddo jail. It remained unclear when they would be released.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, 6,198 Palestinians were detained by Israel as of October. The group has estimated that some 40 percent of Palestinian men will be detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
