BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli police spokesperson Luba al-Samri reported in a statement Tuesday morning that Israeli border police along with officers of Israel's Nature and Parks Authority stormed and inspected a Palestinian home in the southern occupied city of Hebron and seized dozens of birds from its courtyard.

Israeli forces detained a Palestinian in his thirties for questioning.

According to al-Samri, the birds were designated as a "protected species."

Ropes and bird hunting nets were also found hidden on the property, she said.
