BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Four Palestinians were injured, one critically, in a car accident in the Nablus district of the northern occupied West Bank on Sunday afternoon.

Israeli police spokesperson Luba al-Samri said in a statement that the accident took place on Route 90 near the illegal Nimah settlement. One Palestinian was injured critically, while three others sustained moderate injuries after their vehicle flipped over.

Al-Samri added that all the injured were evacuated by ambulances of the Palestinian Red Crescent.

The identities of the injured Palestinians remained unknown.

Seven Palestinians were killed, six of whom were family members, last month in a multi-car crash near Ramallah on Route 60, the main artery of the occupied West Bank.

One week prior to that, three Palestinian women had ben killed in a similar accident on the highway.

Following the crashes, the Palestinian Civil Affairs Committee said that an initial agreement was made with the Israeli side to find "urgent solutions" to driving conditions on Route 60 between Ramallah and Nablus, where deadly accidents have increased.
