Exiled Hamas chief visits Saudi Arabia

July 16, 2015 11:16 A.M. (Updated: July 16, 2015 11:16 A.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Hamas’ chief in exile Khalid Mashal arrived in Saudi Arabia Wednesday along with a delegation of Hamas officials, according to an Arabic Saudi news site.

Mashal arrived Wednesday on a two-day visit during which he is scheduled to meet with Saudi officials and perform Umrah pilgrimage, Al-Khalij Online reported.

Mashal was present during last month's ceasefire talks in Doha, where he met with Senior Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzouq to add “final touches,” to the agreement, which was set to create a long-term ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel.
