June 13, 2014 9:27 P.M. (Updated: June 15, 2014 5:35 P.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- US Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday asked President Mahmoud Abbas to assist in Israel's search for three missing settlers in the occupied West Bank.

Israel's Channel 2 reported that Kerry phoned Abbas to discuss several issues including the missing settlers.

A spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netenyahu's office said the Shin Bet domestic intelligence service had foiled 14 attempts to kidnap Israelis since January, and over 50 attempts last year.
