1 child killed, 2 injured in Nablus fire

NABLUS (Ma'an) -- A child was killed and two others injured in a fire at the Balata refugee camp in Nablus on Friday.

Family members told Ma'an that a gas leak caused the blaze, which destroyed the home of Jamal Sheikh Khalil.

Adyan Sheikh Khalil, 10, died from her injuries in hospital while Habiba Sheikh Khalil, 5, and Liyan Sheikh Khalil, 3, were being treated for third degree burns.

The family is trying to get Habiba and Liyan transferred to Israel for specialist treatment.
