PSS officer killed in Jenin car crash

JENIN (Ma'an) -- A Preventive Security Service officer died Thursday in a car accident in Jenin in the northern West Bank.

Bilal Zakarneh, from Qabatiya, was killed in the accident. Mohammad Sbeihat and Mohammad Ahmad Haljyeh, also Preventive Security Service officers, were wounded in the crash, security officials told Ma'an.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and it overturned and crashed into an electric pole on Haifa Street, rescue services said.

Red Crescent ambulances took the wounded to hospital and police opened an investigation.
