Israeli forces enter border area in north Gaza

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli military forces entered an area in the northern Gaza Strip on Wednesday, locals said.

Israeli bulldozers and tanks entered 300 meters into an area of land used for farming east of Beit Hanoun, witnesses said.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said there was "routine activity adjacent to the security fence," without providing further details.
