Medics: Man killed in Gaza explosion

RAFAH (Ma'an) -- A man was killed Thursday in an explosion in the southern Gaza Strip, the Health Ministry said.

Rafat Hamdan Abu Qota, 45, was blown apart when an unidentified object exploded in Rafah, ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra said.

His remains were taken to hospital, the spokesman added.
