Israel to close Allenby Bridge crossing to Jordan; will reopen Wednesday

Bethlehem - Ma'an - Israeli sources announced that the Allenby Bridge will close at 4:00 pm Tuesday for a security exercise.

The excercise will be performed by the Israeli airports authority, which is also responsible for border security.

The bridge will be reopened on Wednesday morning.

In the meantime, passengers may travel to Jordan via the Al-Araba crossing near Eilat until Wednesday.
