Fatah and PFLP's military groups fire projectiles at Israeli targets

April 20, 2008 10:13 A.M. (Updated: April 20, 2008 10:13 A.M.)
Gaza - Ma'an - A joint group of Fatah's Al-Aqsa Brigades and the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, claimed responsibility for launching three mortar shells at an Israeli military base Abu Mtaibeiq east of Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip overnight.

Separately, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades claimed responsibility for launching two homemade projectiles at the Israeli settlements of Kfar Azza and Netiv Ha'asara on Sunday morning.

The military groups said in separate statements that they will continue resisting occupation in retaliation for "ongoing Israeli criminal acts" against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
