PPSF condemns assassination of four Palestinian activists in Bethlehem

March 13, 2008 3:22 P.M. (Updated: March 13, 2008 3:22 P.M.)
Ramallah - Ma'an - The Palestinian Popular Struggle Front (PPSF) condemned on Thursday the assassination of four Palestinian activists in the West Bank city of Bethlehem on Wednesday.

The PPSF told Ma'an that Israel is evading all international commitments and undermining peace negotiations by continuing to carry out assassinations, daily attacks on civilians, and the construction of settlements.

The group also demanded that the Islamic Summit, currently being held in Senegal, take action against the Israeli occupation's crimes against the Palestinian people.

The PPSF called upon Palestinian political factions to join forces against the occupation and the attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. They urged people to unite in support for the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), which they said is the only legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, and called on Hamas to relinquish control of the Gaza Strip.
